Founder and CEO of Spark Compass

Erik Bjontegard is an entrepreneur, technology leader, innovator, former rocket scientist with NASA where he was involved in creating and testing digital twins for rocket ships, technical lead for numerous FAA and international airworthiness certifications of critical commercial aircraft components. Worked on Submersibles and Robotics at Norwegian Underwater Technology Center prior to USA. Founder and inventor of Contextually Intelligent Communication Paas (CICP) and Spark Compass Augmented Intelligent Communications. Endorsed by Qualcomm, CGI, Apple, NXP, Atos, HCL, and others. Erik Bjontegard left Norway when he was 18 to study in the UK, then moved on to California. Not realizing until later in life, his actions and behavior, his quests for new discoveries, and his desire to invent followed his father and grandfather on his mother's side. Now an accomplished inventor, former NASA rocket scientist, deep sea robotics, and submarine explorer, he is now navigating the new Phygital realms connecting the physical and digital.

My Experience

A former R&D Senior executive at Qualcomm (sat around the table at Qualcomm when they were contributing to the roadmap of 5G) and Rohr Aerospace and a holder of multiple patents globally. He brought Vuforia Augmented Reality to market, assisted Gimbal and AllJoyn to launch from R&D lab to deployment.

An established public speaker and advisor to governments, he received silver award for entry into the Smart America Challenge with the White House Presidential Innovation Fellow project, Erik was named Top 20 Global Digitalization Leaders by CGI, Top IoT Inventor 2019 and Entrepreneur to Follow in 2019.
